CHILDREN`S COURSES AT GOLF HOSTIVAŘ

Golf Hostivař supports children`golf. As a top city golf area Golf Hostivař offers children and youths ideal conditions for training and playing golf.

Currently there exist children’s courses, which annually host approximately 200 children of different ages and skill levels. The courses follow the entertaining British training program for small golfers called Junior Golf Passport. These recreational courses are for children from 4 to 15 years. The advantage of Hostivař is not only its first-rate outdoor area, but also the possibility to use the indoor area in the winter season.

The courses are described as follows:

TRI-GOLF

A simple and easy version of golf mainly for children of approximately 4 to 6 years of age. Under the instruction of individual tri-golf trainers. Uses special golf equipment (tri-golf clubs and balls), aids and games made for an entertaining and fun introduction of golf to children Tri-golf is more games than golf training and presents an attractive and fun way to spend free time.

START GOLF

The middle level of the Junior Golf Passport training program. Is intended for beginning players from 6 to 8 years of age. Normal children’s golf clubs and balls are used. Training is under the supervision of a Junior Assistant. Children are taught to put, about short game, long game and rules.

PLAY GOLF

Course for experienced young golfers. In comparison to the previous courses there is an emphasis not only on the training of golf skills but also on theoretical training (rules). Children are preparing for the golf knowledge examination (HCP). After taking this exam they continue to work on their golf skills. Training at this level is under the supervision of professional trainers.

• Individual courses are listed in 4 annual cycles (fall, winter, spring, summer). It is possible to sign up for any one of these courses or for all of them. There is a set price per individual course.

• It is not a condition that the child be a member of the golf club (GCHOS)

• The age of the child is limited from (4) 6 to 15 years.

• The size of a training group is a maximum of 12 children. The children are trained by 2 trainers. (Play Golf - 6 children/1 trainers). The minimum number of participants to open a course is 8 (Play Golf - 4) children.

PROCEDURE FOR SIGNING UP CHILDREN INTO COURSES

1. Select the type of course you would like to participate in. If you are not certain if TRI-GOLF, START GOLF or PLAY GOLF – call courses administrator Lenka Borkovcová tel.: 606 471 487 (kurzy@golfhostivar.cz).

2. If you know which course, which day, at what time and to which trainer you would like to go to then next you need to fill in the application form for the course. Application forms you will find here. Example of completed application form here. Completed application forms you can scan and send to the e-mail: kurzy@golfhostivar.cz, or drop off personally at the main reception area. After we receive the completed application form you will be enrolled in a course. 

3. Payment of courses can be done only by noncash payment to our bank account – account number: 2001172399/0800 – during payment use the birth number of the child as the variable symbol and under comments list the child’s first and last names. Enlistment into your selected course will be confirmed by email or by telephone. After you complete the payment send us confirmation of the payment transaction to the email kurzy@golfhostivar.cz. Unless agreed otherwise, course payment should be done within 5 days applying of place may be offered to others interested. Children registered for courses will not be accepted at training until payment is finalized. Substitution of courses is not possible. In case of absence at courses no refund is possible (holiday, illness, injury, etc.).

Courses may be begun while already running if there is capacity. Children will be according to capacity registered in the appropriate courses.

Cancellation conditions

• Cancellation of course registration 15 days or more before first training session – registered has right to full refund (100 %).

• Cancellation of course registration 14 to 7 days before first training session – registered has right to 50% refund of paid price.

• cancellation of course registration 6 to 1 day(s) before first training session – registered has right to 25% refund of paid price.

• Cancellation of course registration day of first training session or later – registered has no right to refund.

TRI-GOLF

A simple and easy version of golf mainly for children of approximately 4 to 6 years of age.

Under the instruction of individual tri-golf trainers. Uses special golf equipment (tri-golf clubs and balls), aids and games made for an entertaining and fun introduction of golf to children Tri-golf is more games than golf training and presents an attractive and fun way to spend free time.

Required of children:

• Remain 90 minutes without parents

• During training aid trainers, carry aids and equipment

• Dressed appropriately for conditions including footwear – play is outdoors and may be wet Place: tri-golf course at Golf Hostivař, children meet in indoor area and after conclusion of course will be led back to meeting area by trainer and given to parents.

Price includes: entrance fee to area, training by Junior Assistant, rental of special clubs and balls. Lessons take 90 minutes.

START GOLF

The intermediate level of the Junior Golf Passport training program. It’s designated for beginning players from 6 to 8 years of age. Normal children’s golf clubs and balls are used. The training is under the supervision of a Junior Assistant. Children learn to put, about short game, long game and golf rules.

Requirements of children:

• independence

• basic care of golf equipment (for example nobody carries the children’s golf clubs)

• own golf clubs and equipment (balls, golf tees, rules, divot tool, marker)

• Dressed appropriately for conditions including footwear – play is outdoors and may be wet Place: driving range, putting green, chipping green and the 9-hole academy course.

The children all meet at the indoor area and after conclusion of course will be led back to meeting area by trainer and given to parents.

Price includes: entrance fee to area (driving range, putting and chipping greens), driving balls, entrance fee to academy and 90 minutes training by instructor.

PLAY GOLF

Course for experienced young golfers. In comparison to the previous courses there is an emphasis not only on the training of golf skills but also on theoretical training (rules). Children are preparing for the golf knowledge examination (HCP). After taking this exam they continue to work on their golf skills. Training at this level is under the supervision of professional trainers.

Requirements of children:

• Complete independence during training sessions

• Understanding of golf theory and use

• care of own clubs and equipment (balls, golf tees, rules, divot tool, marker)

• Dressed appropriately for conditions including footwear – play is outdoors and may be wet

Place: driving range, putting green, chipping green and the 9-hole academy course.

The children all meet at the indoor area and after conclusion of course will be led back to meeting area by the trainer and given to parents.

Price includes: entrance fee to area (driving range, putting and chipping greens), driving balls, entrance fee to academy and 90 minutes training by instructor.
